108 Emergency Response Service, It started in Bhopal
on 16th July 2009 with an agreement between GVK EMRI and the Government of
Madhya Pradesh with 102 ambulances in the city.
It
started with a vision of Respond
to 30 million emergencies and save 1 million lives annually and Deliver
services at global standards through Leadership, Innovation, Technology,
Research and Training.
It is an
Emergency Response Service for medical, police and fire emergencies, That is
available for 24X7 with Toll Free number accessible from landline or mobile.
The GVK EMRI (Emergency Management and
Research Institute) is one of the most important social initiatives of GVK. It
is a non-profit organization based on Public Private Partnership model. It
attends to every emergency situation in the country; be it a medical crisis, a
law and order situation or a fire disaster. It provides services at par with
global standards and follows modern principles of management and leadership to
serve the nation.
The
service is available in various states of India like Andhra Pradesh ,Gujarat,
Uttarakhand, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal
Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and 2 Union Territories Dadra & Nagar
Haveli and Daman & Diu

Emergency Response Services has also signed MOU with over 6800
hospitals which provide initial stabilization free of cost for the first 24
hours.
It’s an emergency service so
it should be called in an emergency case.
Now
why 1-0-8:
There are some reasons behind the
